Sidhi Vinayaka Maha Yagam

Sidhi Vinayaka Maha yagam, today we visited the Yaga bhoomi at Chirakkal Rajas High Schol, Chirakkal, kannur, Kerala. They are saying the same yagam was last done some 1500 years back at banaras.
It is at a big thatched shed, the dimension of the shed is as per the vedic rule.Coconut is one of the offering to the Loard Ganesh. Personally I am a devote of Lord vigneswara. So i also offered coconut to the Lord. There were free meals to all visitors, thousands of visitors are daily.

I observed Some priest are sitting inside the Yaga place and chanting mantras in very low voice and offering ingredients like yavam , oils ete to the yaga fire.

I noticed the yaga COW, which is a black cow, feeding and look after well and standing in front of the yaga sala.
The place was very hot due to heavy sun.
While returning we visited the house of one of our old friends, who has already retired from my department

My Travel remembrance

Once I was traveling, some four or five years back, I was alone, My train will come only after two hours, the small local railway station was empty, the darkness started, time was evening 7 -30 likes that, I sat alone on the corner of the railway station in a wooden bench. Just watching what I can saw there, there was a big banyan tree; some heaps of metals for railway tracks, heavy sounds of night birds they were settling for sleep in the banyan tree. Thats all. After some time a long man, more than 60 years, came walk through the platform, he was bearing an old heaped cotton bag in his head and a iron pot with a hang, just like a bucket in his hand. The bucket contains potatoes. He came and sat next to my bench, How I don’t know, some way my mind was attracted to that mans figure, so I just started watching him. He collected three stone and some scrap woods from there and here and made a fire, Put the potato bucket in the fire and added some water , the potato boiled , then he sat there peeled the potato and slowly eaten.
I have seen that there were lot of stories in his eyes. The face is stoned .I think he may have a lot of memories with him.
